Actor and Comedian Tom Arnold proudly introduced his new daughter Quinn with this adorable Instagram photo. After having a tough time conceiving their son, the 56 year old and his wife Ashley, 40 didn’t think 2½-year old Jax would ever have a sibling.
He told People, “I was shocked we were having another baby because Jax came after 22 rounds of In vitro [IVF] that failed. We had one more embryo, and Ashley said, ‘You know what, what the heck? Let’s just try this.’ And then she got pregnant. It was just a blessing.”
When Jax was born Arnold shared a little more about his long road to fatherhood, “I’ve worked diligently to become a father for 23 years. Twenty-one cycles of In vitro with four different women, but the moment Jax was born I realized that this was exactly the way it was meant to be. I was ready because I was healthy and had the perfect partner.”

Arnold also told People that he used to worry about parenting at an older age, but now chooses to focus on his new family of four: “When you’re an older father, you catch yourself saying, ‘Oh, I’m 56 so when Quinn has her bat mitzvah, I’ll be 70, and what does that look like?’
I trust Jax with Quinn but you can see my hand in BG just in case.

But I stopped doing that because I have a 2½-year-old that changes every day. Plus, it’s thinking about myself. The less I think about myself, the more joy I find in life.”
Tom Arnold is one of many celebrities who struggled with infertility, and have opened up about their journey to start, or continue, their families with IVF.
