Have some self-compassion

Trying to conceive, IVF, support, reduce stressIt only makes you feel worse to start getting really down on yourself for being so angry and emotional. Extend the same kind of compassion to yourself that you would to a dear friend who is going through the same thing. Be kind to yourself, be caring. And be forgiving. Above all else remember: This too shall pass.

Kim Kluger-Bell is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She consults with major fertility clinics nationwide and provides counseling and assessments for egg donors, gestational carriers and patients using these procedures.
